WORKSHOP OFFERINGS

Workshops range from 1-2 hours and are geared towards teens and adults, although the content can be modified for younger groups as well. Some past clients include Berklee College of Music, the Berklee 5-week Summer program, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston Children’s Chorus, and more. Zakiyyah has also offered tailored workshops to younger participants at schools such as the Roosevelt Elementary School and Horace Mann Elementary School via her work with the Opening Doors Project. Arts Workshops

These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to explore their artistic practice and sharpen their skills. Offerings include Creative Writing, Songwriting, and Art as Storytelling.

Creative Disruption

In the Creative Disruption workshops, Zakiyyah offers participants a range of tools and exercises that demonstrate how to leverage the arts for social change. Offerings include: Exploring Creative Disruption, Remixing for Social Change, Tools for Effective Messaging, and Strategies for Artist-Changemaking.

The Artist as the Entrepreneur

These workshops are aimed at supporting artists in understanding the business aspect of their craft. Offerings range from Crafting your Unique Artistic Identity, Creative Marketing for Artists, Building an Equitable Artistic Practice, and Pathways to Sustainability as an Independent Artist.
